Measure the outside diameter of the upright post before choosing a corral panel clamp. Standard Blacktail horse-panel connections use 1-5/8-inch clamps; a connection to a 2-3/8-inch post needs matching hardware.
Loose horse panels require panel connection clamps ordered separately. Complete kits may include connections, so check the component list before adding hardware.
Connecting 1-5/8-inch horse panels
The galvanized and bare-metal 1-5/8-inch panel clamps connect matching horse-panel posts. Measure the upright, rather than the smaller horizontal rail.

Connecting different post sizes
The listed galvanized adapter joins a 1-5/8-inch connection to a 2-3/8-inch post. Measure both parts of the joint before choosing it.
If both uprights are 2-3/8 inches, confirm the correct part with the shop. The mixed-size adapter is not a substitute for a connection between two equally sized larger posts.
Kit hardware and loose panels
The complete 40 ft, 50 ft and 60 ft Blacktail round-pen kits include their listed panel clamps. Loose horse panels and individual additions to an enclosure require separate connection clamps.
Count the complete layout, gates and transitions when confirming hardware quantities. Mixing a different manufacturer’s panels may change the connection needed.

Wood clamps, posts and hinges
Wood-attach clamps hold timber to a panel and are different from panel-to-panel connection clamps. Wood-insert panels include wood insert clamps; timber and panel connection clamps are separate.
The hardware range also includes 8 ft posts and male or female post hinges. Compare the post diameter, hinge pin and mating part before ordering a replacement.
Continuous fence clips attach a permanent fence section to a set post. They do not serve the same purpose as a clamp joining freestanding panels.
Confirm the joint and coverage
Send measurements or photographs when identifying a replacement part. Include both sides of the joint and the quantity needed for the complete layout.
Gate hardware, hinges, latches and clamps are excluded from Blacktail’s limited lifetime warranty. Review the warranty terms before ordering; a general lifetime statement on a welded frame does not extend to these fittings.
