Choose galvanized Z-purlins, also called zee purlins, by profile depth and length. The 6 in profiles come in 10, 12, 20 and 25 ft lengths; the 8 in profiles come in 12 and 25 ft lengths. These are individual roof-support members, with roofing sheets sold separately. Match the specified section and connections to your roof design; profile depth alone does not establish an allowable span.
